OVERVIEW:

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety and efficiency of KSB's industrial machinery and equipment ultimately contributing to our overall success. We are a Centrifugal Pump Manufacturer who prides ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to our clients. To succeed in this mechanic position, you should possess experience in an industrial environment, where you've focused on ensuring the efficient functioning of equipment and machinery. You will be able to conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair our industrial equipment to reduce downtime and enhance productivity. This position is on the Maintenance Team and will report to the Maintenance Shift Team Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and adhere to plant safety and environmental procedures
  • Uphold high standards of quality and workmanship
  • Install and start up new manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper assembly and alignment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues using manufacturer documentation
  • Assist in basic electrical repairs, including fuse replacement and wiring fixes
  • Aid in diagnosing and repairing CNC, PLC, motor controls, and other industrial equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on plant equipment
  • Assist in developing maintenance schedules and procedures based on equipment manuals
  • Maintain and repair forklifts and other mobile equipment
  • Rebuild mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
  • Install piping systems and perform structural repairs as needed
  • Weld nonstructural components using MIG and stick methods and cut and braze with oxygen acetylene
  • Plan and fabricate tools or assemblies based on drawings or functional requirements using common materials and methods
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Shift Team Leader


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A 2-year technical degree in industrial maintenance AND 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting, pushing and pulling <75 lbs.
  • Occasionally driving forklifts, operating cranes, climbing ladders or stairs and overhead work.
