Job Details


Seeking qualified candidates with a passion for providing park guests with high-quality service during their visits to Jessica Hollis Park, located in Lakeway! This position will support park guests with payment, parking, and any questions that they may have about the Park to provide a seamless, enjoyable stay from arrival to departure, whether they are there for swimming, picnicking, kayaking, canoeing, and more! Later in the season, there may be an opportunity to serve other Parks in the District. Additionally, the Park Assistant will regularly maintain the cleanliness of the Parks by cleaning bathroom facilities, picking up and removing trash from the grounds, and assisting in other maintenance needs.



Hours: Hours include 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with an anticipated 20 hours per week. The candidate will also be required to work during events, holidays, and weekends, up to 30 hours per week. The Park is open from sunrise to sunset so typical hours will be from 10 AM 8 PM but will change according to the season. Must be available weekends, 10 hours/day, daytime shift times may vary.
Location: Jessica Hollis Park and Mansfield Annex



Date range: October 2023 - March, 2024 with the possibility of extension



Essential Functions:



Customer Service: Assist in greeting customers upon arrival, monitoring and supporting the parking lot and providing information on park rules and regulations, pricing, third-party activities, and more. Responsible for other customer-related duties and/or administrative duties as assigned.



Operations: Support other Park-related duties such as maintaining park cleanliness by emptying trash cans, picking up trash, cleaning restrooms, public park facilities, etc.



Minimum Requirements:
Exude a passion for the sharing the outdoors with guests. Experience in customer service or people-oriented industry. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people. Note that this position is mostly outdoors. Must have a valid Texas drivers license and have reliable transportation to the Park. Must pass driving records check, drug test, and criminal background check. Must hold current First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain certificate after employment date. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
