Job Details

Description:Designs the database server architecture, to include installation, maintenance, and configuration. Performs troubleshooting and resolution management. Provides support for advanced user jobs and analytics.Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:Install, configure, and manage SQL Server instances (2019/2017/2016/2014/2012) in both production, development, and test environments.Deploy and manage SQL Server on various platforms, including VMWare, Azure (IaaS/PaaS), and on-premises.Build and manage Azure managed instances and Azure managed databases.Facilitate database migration from on-premises environments to Azure.Execute SQL database upgrades, migrations, backups, and restores.Administer user access by provisioning SQL logins and users based on project requirements.Configure and troubleshoot database Always-on availability groups (AG) and AG-related issues.Establish AG listeners and add databases to Always On while handling failover scenarios.Implement and troubleshoot database mirroring solutions.Configure and troubleshoot database log shipping setups.Set up and troubleshoot database transaction replication configurations.Manage SQL clusters and resolve cluster-related issues.Monitor database conditions, proactively rebuild indexes, and perform routine maintenance tasks.Utilize monitoring and performance tuning skills to schedule automated activities, including database health checks, disk space monitoring, job alerts, index monitoring, and statistics tracking.Configure database mail for SQL job alerts.Install and configure SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including report deployment and server security management.Apply Service Packs to SQL Server versions (2008R2, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019) and patches to Windows Server versions (2003, 2003 R2, 2012, 2019).Create and manage incident/changes using the Service Now ticketing system.Provide exceptional on-demand customer service.Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot application issues from a database perspective.Demonstrate expertise in Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).Implement SQL Server Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance.Job Role-Specific Skill RequirementsSecurity and Access ControlDatabase Design and Schema ChangesPatch and Update ManagementCapacity PlanningAutomation and ScriptingProblem ResolutionData MigrationDocumentation and Knowledge SharingDisaster Recovery TestingDatabase Upgrades and Version ManagementCollaboration and CommunicationTraining and MentoringCompliance and AuditingPreferred skills and qualifications:In-depth knowledge of SQL Server versions from 2019 to 2012.Strong expertise in Azure, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Managed Instances.Familiarity with VMWare, Always-on Availability Groups, database mirroring, log shipping, and replication.Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) a plus.Skills:Database administrator, Sql, Sql database, Database management, Sql server, azure, vmware, iaas, paas, ssrs, sql queries, sql reporting, sql server integration services, sql server reporting servicesTop Skills Details:Database administrator,Sql,Sql database,Database management,Sql server,azure,vmware,iaas,paas,ssrs,sql queries,sql reporting,sql server integration services,sql server reporting servicesAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Resume Submission Checklist - Please complete this checklist and submit it with candidate sub-packageCompany: TEKsystems, Inc.Candidate Name:Meet the LCAT education requirement?
