Come be a part of our mission.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an experienced Principal Engineer Software / Sr. Principal Engineer Software - DevOps to support a Ground System in Morrisville, NC or Fairfax, VA.The successful candidate for this position will join a group of DevOps engineers that is designing, deploying, and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments for a ground system. The ground system will include Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes. Essential Functions:Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts in Terraform, Helm, and Puppet to provision AWS resources. Deploy and maintain the Dockerized ground system application on Kubernetes clusters. Configure and maintain EC2 developer instances and development environment. Configure and maintain DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications:Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor s degree in STEM related degree with 5 + years of software development experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 9 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.Sr. Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor s degree in STEM related degree with 9 + years of software development experience; 7 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 14 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or higher with a willingness to obtain a polyExperience with software systems deployment and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)Knowledge of DevOps, i.e. Jenkins and NexusPreferred QualificationsExperience with AWSKnowledge of KubernetesExperience with Red Hat Linux administrationExperience developing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Puppet)Willing to document key knowledge and share with teamActive TS/SCI clearance w/ PolySalary Range: $95,100.00 - $157,000.00Salary Range 2: $117,900.00 - $194,500.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
