Founded in 2018, we are searching for a seasoned air permitting manager to help lead projects, mentor our amazing junior staff, and work alongside the sales team to grow the business. Job Description

Bright Sky is seeking an experienced Air Permitting Air Manager for immediate, full-time employment. We are seeking candidates who are heavily focused on Air Quality Compliance and GHG management. The candidate must be based in Texas - this is a remote role supporting our Austin, TX office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Provide technical and quality assurance (QA/QC) support for air permitting and compliance projects
  • Support all aspects of project management for existing projects budgeting, planning, team leadership, and interaction with our awesome clients
  • Seller-doer mentality with goal to bring new client relationships to the company. You are in charge of your own destiny here, with no harsh utilization/billability requirements
  • Immediate leadership position within the company and opportunity to grow


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science plus 5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education focused on air quality compliance data. Please do not apply for this job if you have no air permitting experience.

B.S. in Chemical, Environmental, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university

Valid U.S. Driver's license

Must reside in Texas

Entrepreneurial mentality


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer, PE
  • 8-10 years of science experience focused on air quality compliance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to the Clean Air Act
  • Prior consulting experience with an eagerness to sell projects
  • Austin, TX location would be great, but not required
  • Open to a team hire if you have your favorite staff already

Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is ~ $100,000 - $130,000 plus project commissions.
