ACCOUNTANT

As an Nonproft Accountant, you'll be a vital team member who provides accounting structure and integral support of complex processes for a group of clients.
- Salary: Depends on experience

Responsibilities
- Accounting transactions. Perform transaction processing, journal entries, payment releases, month-end and year-end closes, general ledger account reconciliations, review of liabilities and accruals, adjustment entries, budget entries, and audits. Respond to multi-client questions in a timely manner. Advise clients on accounting processes, controls, and compliance. Follow GAAP financial controls when carrying out transactions.
- Financial reporting. Provide financial reports to a group of clients and answer their questions about the reports, which may involve research.
- Teamwork. Assist in client onboarding, maintain client relationships, train and support other team members, and provide backup accounting coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication with team members and multiple clients; others-focused; curious
- Accounting skills ( nonprofit experience preferred), accounting degree, GAAP proficient, trustworthy, detailed
- Natural problem solver to discover issues, research/suggest options, execute solutions
- Technical savviness to quickly learn and navigate new systems
- Financial reporting experience using spreadsheets and accounting software
- Organizational skills, including prioritization, focus, and discipline to meet deadlines
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to adjust priorities to serve both clients and Cedarstone
- Working with multiple clients at one time.
