Job Details

Seminole County Legal Aid is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time paralegal. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social justice and a desire to make a positive impact in our community. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and documentation.
  • Prepare, file, and serve approved court pleadings.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and schedule appointments.
  • Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with client intake, screening, and eligibility determination for legal services.
  • Assist with community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of legal rights and resources available to underserved populations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and community partners to provide holistic legal services to clients.


Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor s degree in legal studies, Political Science, English or another related field and a minimum of two years experience, preferably in family law.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and serving marginalized communities.
