We're looking for an experienced Compensation professional. You'llbe responsible for leading a team thatdesigns, plans, and implements shipboard compensation programs and implements shoreside compensation programs in conjunction with the corporate compensation team. This includes salary structures and reviews, incentive plans, benchmark studies and job evaluations. This position will consult with leadership regarding the application of sound compensation principles and practices and ensures enterprise-wide compliance with both land and maritime wage and hour related legal requirements associated with job classification andcompensation program design and administration. This position is responsible for leading and incorporating DEI efforts in all aspects of compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of Compensation professionals to design, implement and consult with HR People Partners and business on compensation strategies and compliance for shoreside and fleet employees and provides consultative technical expertise, advice, and guidance regarding compensation matters.
  • Leads, directs and provides strategy with executive management to direct the development and administration of the company's multifaceted compensation programs; evaluate positions, establish salary structures, provide guidance to managers on application of program guidelines and pay decisions, analyze pay practices, research and recommend changes to programs and practices, and manage the annual compensation and incentive programs.
  • Assists in establishing a compensation philosophy to support the organization and its business units.Partners across Human Resources and business leaders to ensure compensation programs are designed and delivered in alignment with compensation, total rewards, and company objectives.
  • Collaborates with the People Team and Financial staff across divisions to administer pay compliance adhering to FLSA and other required regulations and ensure on-going audits for internal compliance, governance, ensuring adherence to country, local and federal statutes and laws.
  • Oversees and maintains job evaluations and classifications to ensure they are competitive within identified markets, internally equitable and in compliance. Conducts research to identify market conditions, salary trends and compensation best practices. Provides consultation and guidance to management and business in job classification, position design and compensation philosophy. Proactively assesses compensation programs and processes for improvement opportunities and completes research and benchmarking to monitor best practices.
  • Leads and drives the process with the People Team and senior management to determine methodology and approach to be followed in year-end pay administration. This includes budget analysis and recommendations, modeling results, and setting up the compensation support tool to comply with methodology and budgets agreed upon. Review and analyze results and present to senior leadership for approval.
  • Actively participate in annual planning process providing detail and analysis for merit and other compensation plans working with senior leadership building a compensation strategy that is attractive to employees and in line with company goals and targets and combines internal data, stakeholder feedback and external competitive data to make decisions that impact employees and the business in a meaningful way.
  • Participate in and collaborate across brands in working with global salary survey vendors and developing internal market pricing tools to ensure proper positioning of jobs to competitive market data supplementing internal data sources, build industry networks, and keep up with market trends.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years leading a compensation function with experience in fleet compensation within a global organization.
  • 7 years of global experience with designing, enhancing or evolving compensation programs to enable market competitiveness in the attraction and retention of high-quality talent.
  • Demonstrated subject matter knowledge as may be shown through certification, i.e., SPHR, CCP, or similar professional designations.
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects and the associated cultural change that accompanies new programs, processes, or policies.
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation practices and theory including experience in compensation program design and project management.
  • Minimum Qualifications (if preferred but not required, list as such):
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement compensation strategies that produce measurable outcomes and drive business results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
  • Advanced Excel skills and spreadsheet analysis with strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build audience-specific presentations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and accomplish objectives independently and proactively and navigate within a growing organization.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing pay & equity structures in a large global, publicly traded company.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills with the proven ability to build collaborative partnerships within the People Team and with business leaders to recommend compensation solutions that solve business problems.

  • Base Salary Range: $136,100.00 to$183,70.00.The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.Final base salary isdirectly related to eachcandidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
