**Description**

**Job Summary:**

Responsible for a variety of laundry duties including the collection and laundering of facility and resident linens, garments, and washables.

Maintains attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate and uphold the Mission and Vision Statements of Oklahoma Methodist Manor (OMM), supports the OMM core values and shows an understanding of OMMs person-centered philosophy.

**Job Requirements:**

- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Minimum of six-months experience in housekeeping and commercial laundry preferred.

- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

**Responsibilities:**

- Performs routine laundry activities including sorting, loading machines, folding linen and laundry, and delivery of personal linen and clothing items.

- Picks up soiled laundry and delivers clean laundry and personal clothing.

- Keeps equipment and laundry carts clean and in working order.

- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.

- Stocks cleaning cart with supplies.

- Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to supervisor.

- Keeps laundry room and linen storage areas well stocked, clean, and orderly.

- Assist in light housekeeping tasks when necessary.
