They will bring with them a passion for and exceptional knowledge of fine food and beverage, a genuine ability to connect with guests and staff alike and an abundance of positive energy to the restaurant. As a natural leader, the manager is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of hospitality while directing seamless service execution on the floor.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train and supervise the day-to-day activities of restaurant staff
- Assist in all capacities necessary to ensure positive guest experiences
- Maintain positive partnership and effective communication with culinary team
- Create innovative programs and promotions that drive revenue through increased patronage
- Support budgeting and expense management to maximize profitability
Qualifications
- Previous new venue opening experience preferred
- Polished and professional appearance and communication abilities
- Minimum 5 years' full-service restaurant management experience in upscale environments (no chains)
- Strong knowledge of contemporary food, wine and cocktail trends
- Flexibility in working hours
- Ability to multi-task, organize, delegate and prioritize work
- Track record of success in developing and mentoring effective teams
