Responsibilities

* Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.

* Writes up customers vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.

* Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.

* Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.

* Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.

* Establishes "promised time." Checks with team foreman, if necessary.

* Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.

* Checks on the progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.

* Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.

* Explains completed work and all charges to customers.

* Cashiers for customers including balance till daily

* Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.

* Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.

* Maintains a professional appearance.

* Install seat covers and floor mats while the vehicle is in the service drive.

* Drive the vehicles to and from the service lane, service stalls and parking lot as needed.

Qualifications

* Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking).

* Ability to read, speak and understand English.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

* Ability to multitask.

* Ability to work alone, self motivate and manage ones own time.

* Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.

* Team player with a positive attitude

* Computer literate (MS Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook,)

* Organized and extremely detail-oriented

* Ability to prioritize

* Deadline-oriented

* Research skills

* General math skills

* Basic knowledge of dealership operations and/or office/clerical experience.

* H.S. Diploma/Equivalent.
