Job Details

/ / Branch Administrative Support Specialist * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, employees, and officials in other departments.

* Assists staff with complex transactions/customer issues ensuring timely and professional resolution.

* Ensures all operating procedures are followed as outlined in SOPs.

* Assist with new branch set up to include assistance with implementing and training on logs, procedures, and reports.

* Be located at any new branch at minimum of one week to assist with procedural questions.

* Assist with training new managers.

* Subject matter expert for branch support in new account processes.

* Cover at branch when need arises

* Provides professional customer service to include performing accurate transactions, greeting the customer, smiling, using the customers name during the transaction, and thanking each customer for his/her business.

* Ability to meet the public and to deal effectively with their questions or problems. Handle customer complaints or questions and determines the action to be taken to remedy the situation.

* Know the Banks products and services thoroughly. Look for opportunities to explain, promote, or sell products and services.

* Continuously demonstrate a helpful, friendly attitude and be committed to providing excellent customer service. Serve as a model of excellent customer service to other employees.

* Ensure that the Bank adheres to all new account and safe deposit operations.

* Assist as back-up to online account opening.

* Open and maintenance all types of checking and savings accounts.

* Open and maintenance certificate of deposits.

* Open and maintenance IRA (individual retirement accounts) certificates.

* Accept IRA deposits, transfers, and rollovers.

* Make IRA distributions.

* Order checks and deposit tickets.

* Complete wire forms properly.

* Open and maintenance safety deposit boxes. Also assist customers with box visitation.

* Types and proofreads routine correspondence, reports, and manuals for department using computer skills and work processing software.

* Maintains neat and orderly work area and ensures that all negotiables and confidential records are properly secured.

* Understands role in case of robbery.

* Professional appearance that evokes the customers trust.

* Adheres to all bank policies and procedures and to internal controls and system access restrictions.

* This job will require Saturday rotation in Charles Town branch.

* Other duties may be assigned.

* Self Development: pursue additional education or training to remain current, improve knowledge, and diversify skills. The capacity to cross train in other areas is particularly helpful.

* Customer confidentiality: never reveal or divulge customer information to anyone outside of the Bank.

* Versatility: Ability to multi-task under pressure and a fast-paced environment.

* Position demands a person with a pleasant personality with an advanced knowledge of fundamental arithmetic.

* Ability to answer telephones and greet public in a friendly and courteous manner.

* Ability to attend any internal or external training courses deemed necessary for continuing education in the respective field.

* Ability to operate standard office equipment.

* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
