A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Legal Operations Assistant for their headquarters location in the McLean, VA area.
Responsibilities:
The Legal Operations Assistant will:
- Be able to read and read legal documents including tax liens, child support order and IRS levies and input information into appropriate case tracking system
- Respond appropriately to legal orders, restrict bank accounts and issue funds as appropriate
- Perform limited account research to comply with agency/court orders
- Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents
- Maintain and update databases and tracking systems
- Respond to all case-related queries in a timely manner
- Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance
Qualifications: - 1 year of experience in a Legal or Financial environment
- Familiar with key legal principles, terminology and possess incredible accuracy
- Basic IT skills and excellent time management
- Analytical thinker with keen attention to details
- Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents
- Systematic knowledge of applications, databases and tracking systems
- Fantastic organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills: - Bachelor's Certificate in Law, Paralegal Certificate or related
