Inventory Control Manager


Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager from the Automotive Industry to oversee our inventory management and control processes for the Fort Worth, TX area. As an Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, implementing efficient inventory management systems, and ensuring the availability of products for our operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and strategies to optimize inventory accuracy, minimize stock discrepancies, and maximize inventory turnover.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory counts with system records and identify discrepancies or variances.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and trends to provide insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan procurement, and coordinate inventory replenishment.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of inventory management software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Train and mentor team members on inventory control processes and systems.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance inventory management efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to optimize lead times, minimize stockouts, and manage relationships.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management best practices, inventory control methods, and inventory valuation principles required.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and systems, Excel and SAP required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to inventory control.
