Job Details
The Director, Applications position is responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of system enhancements to EDI systems, ensuring data integrity throughout application systems, and ensuring that assigned application development tasks are meeting strategic and operational objectives. The Director, Applications is also responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing proper technical solutions to enhance the business value of assigned operations. This position is also responsible for establishing, maintaining and implementing tactical plans that support the corporate strategic vision, and ensuring proper IT controls are established, followed and monitored for quality results.
What You Need For Success:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in analyzing and designing complex business systems.
- Proficiency in mainframe programming environment preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in overcoming challenges and achieving goals.
- Strong communication and business-writing skills.
- Analytical skills for data-driven problem-solving.
- Adaptability and resilience in delivering results amidst changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Knowledge of project management methodologies with experience leading project teams.
- Preferred background in EDI systems (e.g., claims submission, electronic enrollment).
- Preferred familiarity with Inter-Plan systems.
- Prior management experience is required. Need to have at least 6 years of experience managing direct reports.
