Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Details
Job Duties:
Preparing, processing pleadings/briefs in the various state and federal courts
Preparing correspondence, calendaring, trial preparation
Performing legal secretarial duties requiring both
sound judgment, superior organizational skills as well as excellent (court filing)
technical knowledge.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in litigation legal secretary
Bachelor's Degree required
Must have litigation experience for filing motions, letters, opening new cases, etc.
Excellent attendance and reliability a must
Exemplary customer service/people skills, excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
Strong proficiency using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Have a minimum typing speed of 55 wpm
A strong knowledge of legal procedures and court rules (federal and state) is a must.
Proficient in Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Legal Solutions, and Outlook Calendaring.
Excellent (court filing) technical knowledge
