Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Facilities Director to join Wick. The Facilities Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our physical facilities, including maintenance, security, space management, and ensuring that all environments are safe, efficient, and conducive to achieving the organization's goals all while working to increase property values. This role demands a blend of leadership, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to facility management to enhance operational effectiveness, efficiency and property value.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for facility management, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes long-term maintenance plans, space optimization, and facility improvements.
  • and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of properties to ensure all environments are operational, safe, and meet regulatory compliance standards. This involves scheduling regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and managing emergency repairs.
  • Management: Prepare and manage the annual budget for facilities, including forecasting costs for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and utilities. Monitor expenses to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Management: Select and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring quality workmanship, competitive pricing, and adherence to deadlines.
  • and Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Leadership: Lead, motivate, and hire the property management team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Management: Optimize the use of space and resources across all facilities, coordinating moves, renovations, and expansions as needed.
  • Initiatives: Promote sustainability and environmental responsibility through efficient energy use, waste reduction, and the adoption of green initiatives.
  • as a brand ambassador for Wick, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to the company's mission.


Qualifications

  • degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • minimum of 8 years of proven experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • knowledge of New Jersey s building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • in budget preparation and financial management.
  • ability to manage and negotiate with vendors and contractors.
  • leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • to strategize, implement, and oversee facility improvements and maintenance programs.

Work Environment

The Facilities Director will work in an office setting as well as be required to visit all properties regularly. This role may involve exposure to construction environments and outdoor conditions. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary to oversee projects and respond to emergencies.
