Your New Job

Job Summary: As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing our procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services for our telecom engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to support project delivery and drive operational efficiency in procurement activities.

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated and proactive procurement professional with a strong background in supply chain management and a passion for driving operational excellence. They should possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze procurement data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. The ideal candidate should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with vendors. They should be results-oriented, adaptable to change, and committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. A certification in procurement or supply chain management and previous experience in the telecommunications industry or construction sector would be highly beneficial.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

  • Analyze procurement data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and vendor optimization.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors, assess capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including vendor selection, qualification, and performance evaluation, and resolve issues or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and timelines, and proactively identify procurement needs to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate the procurement process, including obtaining approvals, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries and payments.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements, and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and documentation management.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement spend and budget utilization and provide regular reporting and insights to management on procurement performance, cost trends, and savings opportunities.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement practices in the telecom industry and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies and practices as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field, preferably in the telecommunications industry or construction sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and procurement analytics tools, such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or other ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and vendor management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of telecom infrastructure and construction materials, equipment, and services preferred.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
