ABOUT THE JOB

The Sr. Logistics Analyst position oversees all domestic and international freight relationships from pricing, scheduling and managing fulfillment flow. This role reviews and drives monthly/quarterly quotes and costing, managing freight lanes and identifying areas of cost and time savings to drive efficiency in our supply chain.

You will ensure all sales orders are scheduled and delivered on time within the cost structure needed to achieve profitability. This role will maintain effective communication between our distribution centers, brokers and distributors to maintain clear status reports on all deliveries.

The primary focus is on driving on-time deliveries to our distribution network, managing any delays or fulfilment challenges and ensuring best in class communication with our various partners to minimize any risk to our fulfillment process.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Daily/Weekly scheduling of all delivered freight coordinate directly with trucks and freight brokers to ensure timely delivery of all purchase orders (PO).
  • Partner with Supply Chain team to communicate risk, delays and changes to schedules so all key partners are informed and updated on PO s status.
  • Oversee the movement of freight, including coordinating with carriers, negotiating rates, and optimizing routes to minimize costs and delivery times.
  • Quarterly review of delivery performance for all logistics partners. Capture any trends or risk areas to improve on in future quarters.
  • Maintain shipment records such as items purchased, freights cost, delivery, product quality and inventories.
  • Stay updated on market trends and fluctuations in commodity prices to optimize cost-effectiveness in logistics operations.
  • Monitor and reconcile freight invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with distributors to coordinate freight shipments, resolve issues, and ensure smooth logistics operations throughout the distribution network.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes, documentation, and systems to identify areas for improvement, ensure compliance with regulations, and enhance efficiency.
  • Annual or biannual review of actual freight rates vs negotiated rates.
  • Review and approve freight invoices.
  • Constant communication with the 3PLs to ensure inventory is accurate.
  • Reconcile inventory on a monthly basis.
  • Manage 3PL partners to ensure efficiencies in the supply chain process; receiving products, inventory management, process orders, shipping. Travel may be required once a quarter.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Required Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • Required 5+ years of logistics analyst experience
  • Preferred Experience is needed with Alcohol/Beverage industry experience strongly preferred

Skills/Traits:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with members across the organization and external partners.
  • Experience using ERP, preferably Business Central.
  • Problem-solving skills including problem analysis, planning, and organizing, decisiveness, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Ability to self-initiate activities, work within timelines, and work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the use of computers required with a strong knowledge of Microsoft program.
  • Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.
