I am currently partnered with one of the premier sports and entertainment enterprises in the world to assist them in staffing their rapidly expanding technology organization. I am recruiting for a Senior Streaming Media Engineer who is passionate about building engaging video application products for a massive user base. As a Senior Streaming Media Engineer, you will join a world-class team of engineers contributing to award-winning and complex platforms.
The Senior Streaming Media Engineer must have a strong background in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASH and understands OTT integrations and video player frameworks.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Create large scale global products for live events, on demand content, and other video applications
- Join a team in solving challenging problems and enhancing digital products for an engaged user experience
- Design and build complex streaming experiences applications with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and high reliability
- Use HLS and DASH to deliver high-quality video streaming experiences across web, mobile and OTT devices
- Configure and optimize SRT and RTMP for streaming video content
- Participate in development, cloud architecture, and agile process methodology
- Maintain and expand upon knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, applications, and their capabilities
- Lead and take ownership of critical projects and your own initiatives
- Collaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and streaming media technologists
- Influence the innovation of video products used by millions of users worldwide
- Full lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, develop, test, deploy, and support
- Assist in changing the way content is consumed by users across various digital platforms
Skills & Experience Needed:
- 5+ Years of experience in streaming media development experience
- Prior software development background; Java, Python and/or Node
- Experienced building back end distributed, high-volume systems
- Highly proficient in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASH
- Skilled in video QoE metrics, ABR algorithms, and video player frameworks
- Familiar with Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) platforms and OTT integrations
- Understands Event Driven systems, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with SRT and RTMP for delivering video streams over the internet
- Skilled with RTP and UDP
- Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure as code - Terraform
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Math or similar
