LHH (formally Paladin) has partnered with a company in the education industry looking for a Senior Graphic Designer. This role involves executing intricate professional tasks essential to the conceptualization, design, and execution of diverse print and digital materials. From publications to web assets, the hire will translate abstract concepts into tangible designs, collaborate closely with team members to understand project needs, and refine design ideas into actionable plans.


We are looking for a high-level designer with experience in the full design cycle including meeting with stakeholders on their concept to the final products. In this role you will be tasked with both digital and print design so an understanding of both is key. This hire needs to be comfortable with long form design and internal content creation. Strong technical skills are key.


This role is hybrid in Sacramento, CA and can pay between $55,000-$70,000 annually DOE.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and management to strategize, design, produce, and evaluate a range of outreach materials aimed at enhancing the brand image.
  • Contribute to short and long-term communication strategies, designing materials to maximize awareness of programs and services, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Undertake complex graphic design tasks for various publications and campaigns.
  • Presenting designs for review, revising as necessary, and overseeing projects to completion.
  • Develop and maintain brand identities and related collateral, transforming abstract concepts into tangible design products.
  • Collaboration with colleagues from idea generation to material production, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and printers to manage publication production, overseeing cost estimates, timelines, and ensuring quality control.
  • Assist in website design and maintenance, ensuring alignment with the marketing plan.
  • Identify new content opportunities, reviewing change requests, and ensuring website usability.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of graphic design experience
  • Bachelor s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field.
  • Proficient in design principles and processes for print and digital media.
  • Experienced in brand guideline implementation.
  • Familiarity with typography, pre-press production, color correction, and printing technologies.
  • Understanding of photography fundamentals and post-production processes.
  • Knowledge of web design principles, including HTML, CSS, and UI/UX concepts.
  • Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Proficient in modern office practices and graphic design software, including Adobe Suite.
  • Ability to creatively design educational and informational materials.
  • Strong visualization skills to translate abstract concepts into visual designs.
  • Proficient in project management, meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including public speaking.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
