The AERO Specialties Service Technician is responsible for assisting AERO customers world-wide with the support of a wide variety of ground support equipment. The qualified individual will have very strong electrical and mechanical skills along with a focus toward providing a high level of customer service.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with various ground support equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to various components and operating systems on products, equipment, or related components.
  • Ability to disassemble components and to reassemble with limited assistance from others.
  • Capable of problem-solving with customer teams to determine the best resolution to customer issues.
  • Ability to provide training to customer teams and support their ability to properly operate and repair equipment.
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers; this position requires a very strong customer service approach and ability to professionally work through customer issues.
  • Inspects, repairs and/or overhauls components, such as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • This individual will complete service repairs, service bulletins, and training classes.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

What qualifies someone for this position?
  • Good mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Minimum 3 years of service repair experience; in ground power, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC
  • Experience with diesel powered vehicles preferred.
  • Familiarity with the use of repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair failed components.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Familiarity with using a computer.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including: standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas.
  • Must be able to lift weights exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Additional skills may be required to complete an additional task(s) specific to work location.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and no travel restrictions, including international travel as needed.
