Medical Billing Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN (This is a fully on-site position)
Pay: Up to $29 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Research and appeal denied claims
- Post payments to accounts receivable
- Maintain billing software by updating patient demographics and insurance information
- Generate and analyze financial reports related to billing activities
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers regarding billing and claims issues
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a Medical Billing Specialist
- Proficiency with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, Skilled Nursing Billing experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
