Position: Patient Access Representative
Location: Glencoe Clinic - may provide backup coverage at satellite locations
Status: Part Time
FTE: .6, 48-hours per 2-week pay period
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day hours
Weekend Rotation: None
This is a direct patient-service position as a front-line receptionist / patient registration / appointment scheduler in our Clinic setting. The Patient Access Representative represents the organization in a professional manner by greeting patients/visitors in a prompt and welcoming fashion. They will efficiently and accurately schedule patient appointments for medical providers and consults, assist with reception and registration duties and be an integral part of the patient experience.
Qualifications:
* Medical terminology coursework, with medical secretarial/administrative degree preferred. Prior similar work experience in leu of degree is acceptable.
* Previous medical office experience preferred.
* Successful candidate will exhibit excellent customer service skills, will possess high attention to detail, demonstrate flexibility, dependability, and maintain strict confidentiality.
* Ability to work independently and as a team player, while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude is a must!
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
* Effective at multi-tasking and problem solving.
* *Support for our Mission, quality improvement goals, and customer satisfaction initiatives will be expected.
* Can work in a fast-paced environment and remain customer focused.
* Strong computer skill-set required; must be proficient in Windows-based computer systems.
* Previous EMR knowledge helpful; Excellian experience a plus.
Hours/Schedule:
Variable Monday-Friday, day schedule ranging from 7AM-5PM. Total of 48 hours per 2-week pay period and is fully benefits eligible.
