The Inventory Manager is responsible for the overall integrity and accuracy of the Gimmes inventory. Key functions include the planning, execution and reconciliation of inventory levels at our distribution centers as well as control of inventory throughout the trans-pacific distribution process. Additionally, the inventory manager will drive development of business processes, tools and analytics to support inventory planning activities. This role requires independent thought leadership and influencing skills to drive change and align on cohesive strategies, processes, and execution elements to ensure all functional areas adhere to the policies. Excellent communication abilities and data entry skills are essential for candidates.
**Qualifications & Experience We Are Looking For:**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
Ability to design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control.
Receives inventory in ERP
Monthly inventory reconcilitation and supports accounting team by troubleshooting inventory discrepancy
Perform year end PI and reconciles with accounting
Manages packaging and RM from PO to receipt
Communicates with 3PL to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
**Qualifications**
* 5+ years of proven success in an inventory role with a wholesale or retail company
* Associate's degree in business or related field, required
* Significant ERP and Order Mgmt Experience; knowledge of EDI interface a plus
* Comfort using multiple systems to resolve issues and access data
* Knowledgeable of inventory software (knowledge of Sage is a plus).
* Good communication skills
* High attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to work cross functionally and with remote teams
* Work successfully in a team environment as well as independently
* Entrepreneurial spirit
