At Janicki, we work on complex parts and assemblies for aerospace and space exploration markets.Weekend Grave Shift Hours: 5:30 pm - 6:00 am, Friday - SundayThere is a $4.00 shift differential for weekend grave shift.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Machinist/Mill Technician performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets to set up, machine & inspect complex machined components in a 5-axis environment. Technicians are required to read & interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllers. Daily tasks include changing & monitoring cutting tools, part inspection (laser and manual inspection), machine operation, part loading and routine machine maintenance. Machinists/Mill Technicians are expected to support other activities as needed to include but not limited to deburring, part detailing and assembly.The following essential job functions are performed as a Mill Technician:Attention to detail and quality is requiredReads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings and work ordersMust be able to recognize and report machine problems and difficultiesUnderstanding of mill gauging proceduresReceives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production LeadsMust be able to understand and comply with Safety PracticesSets up scaffolding and safety barriers under directionProperly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activitiesPerforms prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as requiredKnowledge of common hand toolsWorks in other Cells to support Production as required, ie; Mold Fab or Assembly CellsPerforms on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as requiredCompliance with 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and PracticesPerforms other duties as assignedThis position may require the ability to obtain a security clearance with special program access.Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsBeing at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the jobQUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust have effective verbal and written communication skills.Three years (3) of machining/mill experience preferred.Prior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferred.Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.ADDIT IONAL INFORMATIONWage range for this role is between $20 and $48 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base c mpensation for this role.
