Project Engineer | ON-SITE in Rockville, MD | $90k - $115k base + bonus

The Role:
As a Project Engineer you will act as the technical lead from design, procurement, interconnection and, O&M. You will manage various engineering services provided through quality/cost management systems and update the approved supplier list accordingly.
Our ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering background and Project Engineering experience in any industry. The successful candidate will be excited about solar energy and eager to hit the ground running in this booming industry!
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, geotechnical, environmental, and civil Professional Engineers during design process to assure the design meets technical and code requirements. Manage professional engineer review process to obtain engineering deliverables
- Work closely with and manage 3rd party professional surveyors to document existing site conditions, local and federal codes, underground utility locations and requirements for construction
- Participate in meetings and technical presentations to customers, investors, and PV technical community
- Perform site visits and inspect solar PV systems under construction to confirm they are being built according to the plans and in compliance with all codes, standards, and company specifications
- Participate in onsite quality inspections & punch-list generation to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with NEC, operational, and safety standards
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Electrical Engineering degree
- 2+ plus years of experience in a Project Engineer role
- Experience overseeing subcontractors is preferred
- AutoCAD experience is great
