My client is a global leading General Contractor who are in the global top 20 and currently partnered with one of the worlds largest Hyperscale Data Center providers.


The role of the Superintendent involves comprehensive leadership and oversight of on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management for all construction operations on assigned project(s). The Superintendent will directly supervise other project superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and construction personnel.


Essential Functions


Project Financial Responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager in preparing monthly progress reports, payment applications, and anticipated cost reports.
  • Develop the general conditions budget and monitor expenses through labor cost reporting.
  • Review and approve subcontractor, vendor payment applications, and invoices.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to address project-level risks and develop mitigation strategies.


Project Start-up and Scheduling

  • Develop, enforce, and maintain project site logistics and temporary facilities plans.
  • Participate and sometimes lead various meetings, including post-bid, coordination, and post-mortem meetings.
  • Review and provide feedback on purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Conduct a qualitative review of contract documents to identify potential conflicts or interpretation issues.


Project Administration, Operations and Close-out

  • Safety and quality: Develop and enforce a project-specific safety program and quality assurance program.
  • OSHA site visits: Manage OSHA site visits to ensure compliance.
  • Project documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and as-builts.
  • Jobsite reporting: Monitor and report on daily activities, payroll, accidents, and timesheets.
  • Scheduling and material management: Ensure timely project completion and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Layout and field engineering: Supervise layout and engineering activities.
  • Compliance and problem-solving: Ensure compliance with regulations and proactively address issues.
  • Punch list and inspections: Monitor completion of punch list items and coordinate inspections.
  • Trade coordination and labor management: Coordinate construction activities and understand labor requirements.


What does your background look like?

  • Knowledge of construction processes in a Mission Critical Environment
  • Ten years or more of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.
  • Previous or current commercial construction experience in a Superintendent role.
