Role


JoVE is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Account Executive with excellent demonstration and presentation skills to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and revenue growth by effectively promoting and selling our groundbreaking solution for high schools: a video textbook that revolutionizes the way students learn. With the JoVE video textbook, students can grasp complex concepts visually and interactively, making learning more enjoyable and effective..


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and target school districts as potential customers for our video textbook solution
  • Conduct cold calls and initiate contact with district decision-makers, such as assistant superintendents, Directors of Instruction, STEM directors, Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, and other key stakeholders
  • Present our solution to district decision-makers through engaging demonstrations and persuasive presentations
  • Customize presentations and demonstrations to address the specific needs and challenges of each district
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored sales strategies and proposals for each district
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing efforts and engage with district decision-makers to provide information and schedule meetings
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and other industry events to network with district decision-makers and promote our solution
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to effectively position our video textbook in the market
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales management team


Requirements:


  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the education technology industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and captivate an audience
  • Previous relationships with district decision-makers, such as assistant superintendents, Directors of Instruction, STEM directors, Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, and other key stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed
