**Position Overview:**
The Assistant Service Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the service department. The position will assist in managing the service team to ensure a high level of service is being met and every customer has a positive experience.

* You have proven ability to manage continuous improvement efforts that result in the Service Department consistently achieving high levels of accuracy in service writing, repairs, and billing.
* You can maintain labor standards to optimize productivity and serve customer needs.

* You have a minimum of two years of prior automotive experience.
* You value continual training & professional development.
* You have proven ability to set and achieve targeted goals.

**Essential Functions:**
Maintain system to forecast service business demand accurately.
Staff and schedule service staff to meet the demand of service customers
Manage cost controls to meet or beat performance standards.
Manage systems that consistently assure positive customer perceptions of service experience.
Assist in the management of service advisors to ensure practical demonstration of telephone skills, problem-solving skills, active listening skills, and relationship building.
Assist in the direction of service technicians to assure effective demonstration of product knowledge, problem-solving skills, repair techniques, and mechanics.
**Responsible for The Following Results:**
* Service department revenue goals accurately forecasted and consistently achieved.
* Reliable Service team that consistently meets or exceeds productivity and service standards.
* High documented employee and customer satisfaction with service department experiences as measured by manufacturer and dealership sponsored surveys.
* Profitable and effective use of service department assets.
* Cost-effective and efficient preparation of new and used vehicles for sale by the dealership.
**Requirements:**
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* A Valid Driver's License and favorable Motor Vehicle Record
* Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
* Authorized to work in the United States
