This position is based at our Ontario, California location.

**Responsibilities**

* Unload received packages from delivery vehicles.

* Unload and organize incoming parts.

* Deliver incoming parts to stock room or production floor as required.

* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

* Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.

The Material Handler is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

**Qualifications**

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* 1-2 years receiving experience preferred.

* Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions.

* Capacity to read a measuring tape to a 1/16 measurement.

* Ability to read and understand documents written in standard English.

* Ability to read and interpret documents, such as packing slips.

* Capacity to write simple correspondence and complete routine reports.

* Basic skills in using/operating a computer, learning manufacturing database software, and operating a forklift and pallet jack as required.

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.

* Capacity to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Must be capable of acquiring Myers Power Products, Inc. forklift and overhead crane certification within two weeks of employment, as required.
