Work Location & Shifts
- 210 Haleyville Industrial Rd, Haleyville, AL 35565
1st Shift: Varies depending on position but generally.
M-Th (5:00am 3:30pm); Fridays until 1:30
2nd Shift: M-Th (3:00pm 1:30am); Fridays until 11:30pm
Pay- $18.00 per hour or more depending on shift and position.

Overview
Production Associates are responsible for creating quality products for our customers. They are central to our operations and our success.
What you will need:
- Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
What you will do:
- Operate machinery required for particular position in a safe and efficient manner, to include training of new and existing operators in the carrying out of their duties.
- Inspect product for defects and take appropriate action as per work instructions, monitor Quality Technician for consistency
- Carry out measurements and weight checks
- Assemble product as per instructions with a focus on quality and safety.
- Practice Masonite Lean Manufacturing Techniques including 5S+1
- Communicate efficiently with other employees and the leadership team in order to ensure quality product is made timely.
- Read and interpret list counts and complete all departmental paperwork correctly and timely
- Perform weekly EHS audits
- Participate in Safety Kaizens and Haleyville Masonite Plant Kaizens
- Help create/implement poke yokes for quality issues
- Read, understand, and follow production schedules.
- Set up and adjust equipment
- Gather materials as needed
- Operate motorized equipment (ie forklift, KVAL lifts, etc) as needed.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and operator care as required
- Assist Management, Maintenance and Quality personnel when troubleshooting equipment, process, or material issues.
- Communicate effectively for flow of product through the plant
- Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals
- Proficient at reading/interpreting
- High level of dexterity
- Must work well as a team
- Able to work with little supervision
- Attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs
- Frequent ending, twisting, stooping
- Must work at a fast pace
- Standing for long continuous hours
- Ability to work in a mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions, mildly dusty environment.
- Ability to read a tape measure
