The Global Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing and demonstrating global warehouse best practices that deliver efficient logistics cost and customer service.
Strategic and operational sourcing strategies in collaboration with divisional and subsidiary logistics management teams.
This position will lead cross divisional/regional teams of Warehousing professionals with an objective of sourcing major warehouse expenditures and running relations with regional and global Third Party Logistics Providers (3PL).
**Required qualifications:**
7 + years of experience in Warehousing, transportation, Logistics and Supply chain areas.
Bachelors Degree required; Engineering, Logistics, or business related field. MBA preferred.
Sap experience / WMS / TMS.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Developing sourcing strategies and processes to handle $400 million warehouse spend.
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the global Warehouse function while establishing standard methodologies for warehouse sourcing.
Provides operational and sourcing expertise to divisional and subsidiaries teams.
Execute effective negotiations with 3PLs, on major outsourcing initiatives.
Accountable for Warehouse sourcing and collaborating with divisional and regional/hub logistics operations to maintain capabilities while minimizing total cost.
Lead Global Warehouse Growth initiatives.
Collaborate with 3PLs as well as Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance functions to develop and make sure purchasing policies, resolve issues, align service and financial strategies.
Provide input for 3PL Top to Top meetings and, when necessary, presents performance and strategies.
Lead continuous improvement programs with logistics providers (i.e., 3PL Certification, Benchmarking)
Supervise regional/global Warehouse pricing trends and benchmarks results against CP performance. Recommends specific actions on unfavorable trends.
Work with Global Supply Chain in efforts to evaluate alternative supply networks that optimize cost and service objectives while considering changes in business and customer profiles.
Provide Warehouse expertise to these initiatives.
Collaborate with Global Customer Service to align 3PL Warehouse capabilities with service expectations.
Understand Global/Divisional category business and commercial strategies and guides the Warehouse function to deliver against those strategies.
