**Job Summary**
To accomplish their primary goal of painting and coating surfaces on materials such as metals, woods, and plastics.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
Use various techniques to apply paint, including sprays, rollers, and brushes.
Be knowledgeable and proficient in the application of wet paint.
Clean and prepare surfaces. If previous finishes are on surface, remove them using masking, grit blast or chemical rinse.
Use measurement equipment to prepare paints. Basic understanding of chemistry to mix the appropriate compounds.
Follow all safety guidelines to clean work area and safely dispose of hazardous chemicals and waste.
Maintain equipment
Use hand and power tools such as grinders and sanders.
**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet, cold, heat or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday Friday, 7:00 am 5:00 pm. With overtime available upon demand of work.
**Qualifications**
1 year experience required
