Quality Inspector


Job Details

Summary:

Perform inspections and tests on in-process and finished product as defined in procedures and work instructions to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the manufacturing process. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. Support quality, engineering and manufacturing as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This job includes but is not limited to the following:

Self-starter taking initiative without direction.

Dedicated to Department/Company Objectives.

Knowledge of geometric tolerance, dimensioning and parts inspection.

Inspect and record all parts at specified frequencies, with specified lot size, in accordance with approved Quality Control procedures with calibrated gauges and measuring devices.

Perform audits as necessary to ascertain quality.

Make sure all suspect parts have been properly tagged and sent to the designated holding area.

Must be able to perform moderately heavy lifting.

Capable and willing to work overtime.

Work in a safe manner, so not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions.

Wear required personal protective equipment.

Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.

Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.

Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.

Reports to supervision as dictated by organizational chart. Has the authority and responsibility for controlling quality as delegated by management.

Position Requirements / Desired Skills:

A high school diploma or GED is required.

An Associate's Degree or Vocational/Technical education would be a plus, and/or 3 years of equivalent work experience.

Individuals with ability to interpret blueprint/drawings, with previous experiences or background in CNC machining, or CMM Operations (PC-DMIS) or die-cast manufacturing can also apply.

Able to lift up to 30lbs.

You should be proficient in:

  • Quality Inspection Experience

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Calipers and Micrometers
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Measurement Gauges

Salary info:

$21 - $24 / hr
