Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am 5:00pm, 40 hours per week

Remote Work: Yes- onsite 4 days and 1 remote day per week

Work Environment: Corporate Office

Travel Required: 10% travel expected local, PHL/NYC

JOB SUMMARY

The Training Manager plays a key role in the deployment of our brand, operational, and people strategy, ensuring accurate, consistent, and in-depth knowledge is provided to our global employees, third-party ambassadors, and third-party direct selling associates. The Training Manager has a direct impact on the growth of people and the brand by increasing shared knowledge, honing employee activities, and enriching customer experiences. Reporting directly to the Vice President of People Strategy, the Training Manager administers and deploys a learning framework that drives LAGOS s global strategies through the LAGOS Academy Learning Manager System.


DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Program Development:

  • Partners with the Vice President of People Strategy and the Executive Leadership Team to design, develop, and implement comprehensive, cross-functional training programs that reflect our growth strategy and establish LAGOS as a learning organization.
  • Works with LAGOS Management Team, internal and external subject matter experts, and the Marketing team to ensure that all training is accurate, timely, relevant, and appropriately branded based upon the audience of a given training as well as the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Understands the core competencies and strategic goals of the organization and monitors that the training content aligns with our overarching goals and objectives.


Training Delivery / Learning Management System:

  • Administers the LAGOS Academy Learning Management System, including user setup, permissions, and individual learning paths.
  • Deploys required training to Employees, LAGOS Ambassadors, and LAGOS Dedicated Selling Associates based upon their learning path.
  • Ensures that training is completed in a timely manner and follows-up / escalates to management when training modules are past due.


Performance Evaluation & Reporting:

  • Monitors and evaluates the LAGOS Academy s effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically and reports on them.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement and looks for better ways to operate our training program.
  • Management of Training Resources:
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Manage the training budget effectively and ensure all resources are fully utilized.


JOB/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
  • More than 7 years of work experience as a Training Manager, preferably in the luxury and/or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated success with development and administration of a Learning Management System.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports, presentations, and training manuals.
  • Strong computer and database skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Brief periods of standing, bending, reaching and light lifting required
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs
  • Must be able to follow all workplace safety protocols as required
  • Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, etc.
  • May require local travel to Philadelphia/NYC


WORK ENVIRONMENT CORPORATE OFFICE

  • This role is based in a Corporate Office setting, but will work with our Customer Care, Operations & Workshop departments, located in a Jewelry Manufacturing work environment with limited secure access and confined spaces at times.
