Residential Project Estimator

Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential roofing, with a proven track record of accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and managing client relationships throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections to gather data on roofing conditions and dimensions.
• Calculate project costs including materials, labor, and time required to complete projects, considering client budgets and project constraints.
• Prepare detailed project proposals and bids, ensuring all client requirements and specifications are addressed.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify project scopes and requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations.
• Use specialized software for estimation and project management tasks.
• Follow up with inside sales team post-bid to answer questions, provide revisions and secure contracts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in construction estimation, with a focus on residential roofing is preferred, but not required.
• Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong Computer Skills, and experience with web based applications.
• Ability to type 55-65 words per minute, minimum.
• 10-key by touch preferred, but not required.
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes and materials.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Adept at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Certification in Project Estimation or a related field is preferred.
