Job Details
The Production Manager will spearhead daily operations at the manufacturing plant, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategize and delegate tasks, enforce policies, and propose improvements in production methods, equipment, and work environment.
- Supervise all production and packaging operations in the facility, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Compile and assess regular reports on production, safety, and quality metrics.
- Mentor supervisors, identify areas for growth, and facilitate relevant training sessions.
- Ensure product quality meets defined standards and conforms to established protocols.
- Drive initiatives aimed at reducing costs, ensuring quality, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Planning and Operations teams to manage production schedules effectively.
- Coordinate closely with Scheduling to optimize overall company performance, including customer service.
- Monitor and report on key production performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food manufacturing sector.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP, and HACCP regulations and principles.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to support plant operations.
