We are seeking a skilled Plant Controller to join a dynamic team, providing vital financial leadership and support. As the Plant Controller, you will be instrumental in overseeing accounting operations, collaborating closely with designated plant leaders to drive strategic decision-making and maximize profitability. This pivotal role involves crafting and maintaining monthly financial statements, facilitating comprehensive financial reviews, and developing key performance indicators to guide effective business management. Additionally, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, evaluate operational controls, and spearhead process enhancements. By contributing to strategic guidance and fostering accurate financial reporting, you will play a significant role in shaping the organization's financial success and future growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation and analysis of financial statements for designated plant(s), including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Uphold the accuracy and integrity of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, encompassing journal entry creation and complex reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Plant Manager(s) to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive maximum profitability across all business aspects.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to management, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate variances between actual financial results and budgeted targets, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Aid in preparing financial data for audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and SOX requirements, collaborating with the corporate accounting group on key accounting issues.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department through process improvements.
  • Partner with the Materials Manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of material transactions and implement and maintain the cycle counting process.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting systems and processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Plant Controller, Cost Accountant, or equivalent role.
  • Profound knowledge of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance in the manufacturing sector.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Robust analytical skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Well-honed business acumen and the ability to influence decision-making through insightful analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Cultivates deep commercial knowledge of key business drivers and cultivates relationships across the enterprise, ensuring a balanced approach to business objectives and compliance.
