**Description**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
* Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
* Stamp, marks, or tags price on merchandise.
* Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
* Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
* Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
* Accept payment and makes change.
* Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
* Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
* Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift.
* Calculate sales discount to determine price.
* Keep record of sales and prepare inventory of stock.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months experience working in retail store environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds (50 lbs.).
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
* Ability to operate a Point Of Sale Cash Register.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals; ability to compute percent.
