Job Description

  • Provides exceptional and complete customer service, while ensuring the security, safety and well-being of the Company's customers, employees and assets. Adheres to all Company service and operating standards, and fully complies with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Acts as a service 'ambassador' on property. Demonstrates a high quality courtesy, helpfulness and professionalism at all times.
  • Performs specific security duties in accordance with established procedures, to protect Parx Casino customers, employee's visitors, facilities, grounds, property and assets.
  • Responds immediately to emergencies to give necessary assistance to customers, employees, and to protect the company's assets relative to fire, theft burglary, assault and other security issues.
  • Follows procedures for activities including fire prevention, traffic control, protecting/patrolling the property, and investigations of accidents and suspected criminal activities.
  • Participates in testing and implementing emergency procedures, evacuation plans, etc. on a regular basis.
  • Works in partnership with the Surveillance Department to ensure protection of customers, employees, and company funds and assets.
  • Prepares reports as required and directed by Security management.
  • Maintains crowd control and traffic flow on and around the property.
  • Handles customer complaints, and solicits the support of a supervisor as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of all Company events and promotions and ensure SEcurity Officers are briefed accordingly.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • The provision of immediate notice to supervisors designated in the internal controls, the casino compliance representatives and the Pennsylvania State Police at Parx Casino upon detecting, and also upon commencing video recording of, a person who is engaging in or attempting to engage in, or who is suspected of cheating, theft, embezzlement, a violation of this part or other illegal activities, including a person who is required to be excluded or ejected from Parx Casino's licensed facility under 4 Pa. C.S. 1514 of the Gaming Act, who may be or is required to be excluded or ejected from Parx Casino under 4 Pa. 1514 or 1515 of the Gaming Act and Chapters 511 or 513 of the Board's regulations or is self-excluded from the gaming floor and gaming activities at all licensed facilities under 4 Pa. C.S. 1516 of the Gaming Act and Chapter 503.

Experience and Skills
  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Must have excellent customer service skills, and strong teamwork skills.
  2. Must have ability to handle stressful, volatile situations with poise and confidence. Must be able to run, walk, stand, bend, kneel, stretch, push, pull, lift, and carry weight for a full eight (8) hour shift.
  3. Must be able to work all shifts, and weekends/holidays as required.
  4. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications. Must be knowledgeable of state and local laws and regulations.
