Production Supervisors oversee hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
THIS ROLE WILL TRAIN ON A DAY SHIFT AND THEN BE ASSIGNED TO WORK EITHER AN EVENING OR OVERNIGHT SHIFT M-F.
Key responsibilities include:
- all safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies and procedures.
- machine utilization to meet or exceed efficiency goals and coordinating necessary personnel, maintenance, or engineering changes.
- new methods and procedures to enhance manufacturing efficiencies, maximize labor utilization, and reduce operating costs as part of continuous improvement objectives.
- production and quality issues during the shift and conducting frequent product quality checks.
- authority and independent judgment on personnel actions including hiring, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and addressing complaints.
- and authorizing time records for all shift employees.
- temporary staffing assignments to achieve production and labor objectives.

COMMUNICATION
- shift documentation on decisions, issues, actions, and status updates for compliance and continuous quality improvement (CQI).

TRAINING

- shift functions such as personnel training, development, safety, security, quality, inventory, housekeeping, and policy compliance.
Minimal work related travel expected.
An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in operations leadership is required.
A minimum of two years in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing setting, showcasing strong leadership abilities.
