Clayton Services is searching for a Mechanical Assembler Assistant to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Mechanical Assembler Assistant will be responsible for assisting with installing metal sheets on industrial equipment. This includes fastening metal seams, bolting, creating supportive frameworks, taking measurements, and maneuvering material around.
Mechanical Assembler Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of siding, doors, and panels on industrial equipment.
- Assist in the assembly/installation of custom fabrications for industrial equipment.
- Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to assemble sheet metal products for HVAC equipment.
- Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, and bolts ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.
- Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and seamless appearance.
- Ensuring safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools, machinery and installing and fabricating metal.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
