We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Audit Senior to join our thriving finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for those who have a keen interest in real estate and affordable housing, and who want to leverage their skills in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. As a Permanent Audit Senior, you will play a key role in our financial operations, ensuring the integrity and reliability of our financial data, and helping to drive our strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Audit Senior, your duties will include

  • Planning, executing, and leading audit engagements in the real estate and affordable housing sectors.
  • Overseeing the audit process from start to finish, ensuring that audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reviewing financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and communicating accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners.
  • Building relationships with clients and providing high quality client service.
  • Identifying opportunities for new business with existing clients and communicating these opportunities to the appropriate firm personnel.
  • Training, supervising, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Participating in the recruitment of new staff.
  • Contributing to the firm's initiatives in terms of process improvement, training development, and operational strategy.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Permanent Audit Senior, candidates must possess

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, preferably within a CPA firm.
  • A deep understanding of the real estate industry and affordable housing.
  • A CPA license or equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and auditing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
  • A high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.
