**Title: Supply Chain Manager**
**Reports To: Chief Operations Officer**
**FLSA Status: Exempt**
Having passion for supply chain and business-driven insights is key to the success of this role. SCM will partner with Operations, Marketing, Culinary, and Technology to drive insights and assess opportunities, evolve us to a higher level of execution across our business, and build a strategy that is scalable for future markets and expansion. Laser focused contributor to a small team with significant influence over our current and future supply chain path . Must have the ability to help us build a sustainable and secure supply chain to support our vision of fresh, healthy and responsibly sourced ingredients.
**What youll own:**
* Build a scalable, new approach to sourcing our delicious, healthy and sustainably sourced food.
* Champion our Supply Chain strategy and optimization.
* Negotiate and enhance our national supplier contracts as we continue to scale.
* Manage the food cost sourcing strategy to achieve the budgeted COGS.
* Ensure that approved products are effectively purchased and distributed throughout the Roti system from quality suppliers.
* Partner with Culinary Team and Operations Services to source necessary ingredients, supplies and incorporate into the Roti food chain in support of menu innovation.
* Effectively manage the cost categories relative to budget and market conditions, including minimizing the risk and exposure of obsolete and discontinued inventory.
* Manage freight routes, brackets and freight lane optimization to ensure best delivered costs.
* Develop and manage relationships with distributors and suppliers to ensure strong service and support relationships with Roti.
* Develop and implement appropriate forward purchase positions, including hedging strategies with our suppliers on behalf of Roti, on various commodity products.
* Ensure contract guidelines and protocol is followed for proper documentation and development of all agreements for approved Roti suppliers, in partnership with QA.
* Ensures food safety in our supply chain and manage critical communication updates to field, suppliers and distribution.
* Evaluate and implement strategic contracting, supplier development and cost management objectives
* Provide the necessary reporting to accurately communicate Rotis position on price, supply and distribution
* Manage major sourcing projects and implementation of new programs through suppliers, distributors and cross-functional teams
* Support budget process and financial analysis
* Travel to suppliers and distribution centers when necessary
* Support the areas of indirect spend procurement such as small-wares, utilities, packaging materials, office supplies, uniforms, equipment, printing and fulfillment, pest control, and chemicals

* Ability to drive inefficiencies out of our business, our supplier/distributor relationships, our processes, and our insights/reporting.
* Detailed knowledge of supply chain and an ability to drive a successful strategy for scalability

* Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Commitment to excellence and high standards.
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:**
* Experience working with a food service chain, with multiple distribution points while serving multiple restaurants . 6-10 years experience in a purchasing organization with overall value chain analysis, reduction of non-value added costs, and commodity management.
* Logistics management experience, either internal or third party, a plus.
* Experience handling fresh produce supply.
* Experience with a growth company and establishing new markets is a plus.
* Excellent communicator and negotiation skills.
* Professional certification in purchasing or materials management is a plus.
* Evidence of an ability to work in cross functional teams.
* Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent.
