Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana Turning Point Recovery Center is a residential addiction treatment program for men involved in the criminal justice system. The Recovery Support Technician (full-time, entry-level) is an active part of the treatment team and monitors the client's behaviors and interactions while providing structure, support, and role modeling. Through this program, clients are offered the opportunity to address their addiction through treatment rather than face incarceration in response to their struggles with sobriety. The Turning Point Recovery Center uses an individualized and comprehensive approach to treatment and accepts referrals for clients involved in the criminal justice system. As a Recovery Support Technician (full-time, entry-level), your work will touch the mind, body, heart and ultimately the spirit of those we serve, while integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.

This is an Entry level Behavioral Health position focusing on recovery and family reunification.

As a Recovery Support Technician (full-time, 2nd and 3rd shifts, entry-level), you are part of a team of dedicated people offering our clients crisis intervention and a comprehensive continuum of care that includes group and individual therapy, case management, real-time parenting coaching, and life skills development. As a Recovery Support Technician, your work will touch the mind, body, heart and ultimately the spirit of those we serve while integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.

Essential job duties:

  • Perform 1:1 crisis intervention to the client and submit supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate individual and group skills training for clients.
  • Document and maintain DCS and legally mandated reporting standards of child abuse and neglect.
  • Transport clients in company-approved vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain DCS and legally mandated reporting criteria for child abuse and neglect.
  • Monitor for and control contraband through general surveillance and room searches.
  • Conduct periodic tours of the facility and its grounds to maintain client safety and security
  • Complete and maintain client intake information and procedures.
Qualified applicants will have the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license required.
  • Applicants must pass a state, county, and Department of Child Services background check.

  • We are hiring for 2nd and 3rd Shifts - Full-Time
  • Shift Differential for all hours worked after 5pm
