Job Title: Roll Technician
Pay Rate: $30.35 - $41.10 Hourly
Role & Responsibilities:
Support the production departments by maintaining a fleet of hardened roll set tooling.
Program and operate CNC lathe to cut full roll sets as well as single passes to meet production line needs.
Evaluate roll set tooling to determine what machining is required to get the tooling back to running condition.
Read and review drawings and sample rolls to understand specifications of machined components.
Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and other gages to ensure specification conformance of machined parts.
Provide necessary CAD drawing maintenance as required to maintain good quality engineering prints.
Provide sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on a "hands on" approach.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience with programming, setting up, and running CNC lathes, including CAM programming for lathe operations.
Experience with manual tool room equipment, such as drill presses, mills, and grinders.
Broad shop knowledge of manufacturing processes
Experience in roll mill pass design preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of precision measuring devices.
Proficiency in CAD software technology and mechanical design work preferred.
Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a dynamic and changing work environment.
Ability to respond to instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
