Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension/perm

Location: 3 days onsite in NYC - World Financial Center


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years Financial Analyst experience OR Audit experience within Treasury Functions
  • Corporate treasury experience (funding, raising capital, managing investment portfolio)
  • Project management experience or any type of project experience
  • Experience working at a large company

Day to Day: A large financial service company is looking for an Financial Analyst to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for daily activities relating to collateral management, settlements, and trade capture confirmations. 50% of the time this person will be working on various projects within the company completing testing of projects and process documentation. This person will be interacting with treasury teams, project management teams, and internal stakeholders.

Global Treasury Controllership (GTC) is responsible for providing comprehensive transactional support, accounting & reporting for various Treasury related areas such as cash, debt, derivatives, investments, fair value, Intercompany loans and other comprehensive income. The Debt and Investments team is a key component of GTC and is responsible for providing Trade Support, Trade Capture, Accounting, and Analytics for various Treasury related products. The primary goal of the team is to lead and support various organization-wide efforts to all Global Treasury Operations teams and provide value added services.

The Temp Sr. Finance Analyst will support the Middle Office team in all Treasury related transactions; i.e. confirmation, settlement tracking, trade capture, trade reconciliation, and accounting. In addition, the Analyst will be involved in P&L attribution, value adding daily analytics, and projects.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Responsible for daily Trade Support functions supporting debt, derivatives, fair value hedges, and investment transactions
  • Manage all aspects of securities settlement
  • Manage Trade Capture and servicing mainly for derivatives, and then for debt, investments
  • Maintain Treasury Management System (TMS) static data and manage product testing and system configuration
  • Provide value adding analytics (i.e. Debt & Liquidity Profile) to support internal partners
  • Contribute to Key Performance and Risk Issue metrics
  • Monitor, report, and provide market commentary
  • Ensure controls & compliance with prevailing policies & procedures such as SOX, Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA), etc.
