Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

The Professional Services Veterinarian is a field based position responsible for providing technical, clinical, & sales support to Sales and Marketing for Companion Animal Health (CAH) products. Responsibilities include providing technical support for CAH products and programs and assisting the Clinical Services Management team with alignment across teams. The position will be required to interact with sales teams and key industry professionals to include academic, veterinary related individuals or groups. Additional duties will include attending and presenting in industry scientific meetings and/or at regional & local domestic seminars and CAH educational events.

This individual will interact with CAH customers giving presentations at various local & regional venues, provide consulting services and training to outside sales representatives on the use of clinical & technical data and uncovering medical need(s) during the sales process. The Professional Services veterinarian will also be responsible for assisting the Veterinary Medical Director with managing and coordinating Corporate Accounts and Buying Groups, University and KOL/Influencer relations, and Educational Content Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride-alongs with CAH outside sales representatives for the purposes of training & evaluation as well as consulting with CAH customers and providing expert technical, sales and clinical support.
  • Deliver a high level of technical expertise, service and support to CAH sales in the US.
  • Clinical Services include but are not limited to:
  • communicating technical features, benefits and methods of application for CAH products
  • Organizing & analysis of adverse event reporting, managing resolution of CAH clinical issues in customer's operations, customer complaints and education on all products from CAH
  • Participate as a scientific speaker at industry and local meetings where needed by communicating company & related research and representing CAH as a source of highly valuable technical expertise.
  • Conduct and assist in market support research & clinical trial data acquisition & organization as needed.
  • Obtain information regarding customer needs through various channels, networking and customer visits, providing feedback to prioritize research and development needs.
  • Aid in development of technical, sales and marketing assets for CAH products.
  • Act as a liaison between prominent researchers in university and private settings to supply CAH with information regarding current use of CAH products & innovative products and developments within the veterinary community

Background & Education:
  • Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Must have minimum of 10 years relevant work experience to include veterinary experience in companion animal medicine and/or companion animal technical services work.
  • Must have been in practice in the past 5-7 years
  • Must have experience in the use of photobiomodulation (laser therapy) technology
  • Preferable: experience with the use of PRP or regenerative therapies, rehabilitation and/or pain management, oncology and/or clinical diagnostics in veterinary medicine

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to digest extremely technical information and present it in understandable terms to lay people.
  • Must be willing to travel at least 30-40% of the time and live within a reasonable commute to a major US airport for travel.
  • Ability to support the domestic veterinary sales team organization and understanding of sales process(es) and goals
