We are looking for a full-time Physician Associate to join our young joint practice. This is a wonderful opportunity for driven, hard-working PA looking to grow with our already busy clinical practice. This position will be based at our Chicago, IL facility near the Illinois Medical District. As a PA, job responsibilities will include both clinic and OR.
Responsibilities
Close collaboration with existing team (Doc, Nurse, administrative assistants, physical therapist)
OR day management and leadership
Clinical assistance including ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided steroid injections (will teach on the job should this be needed)
Educate patients and families as appropriate and provides continuity of care including conducting live teaching classes
Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination independently
Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Travel with Physician as required
Assistance with medical legal as well as workman s compensation patients within scope of practice
Education And/or Experience
BA/BS, MS preferred; graduate of AMA accredited PA program
Current Illinois state PA license
Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Current CPR Certification
